ECF - European Canicross and Bikejöring Federation
Thank you (very) sincerely Istvan and ALL the Hungarian team for enormous efforts made during the European Championship 2009.
The welcome of the city of Sopron, the gifts given to team managers, the reception at City Hall were outstanding. The podium ceremony, imposing and magnificent, has left imperishable emotions among all participants. The banquet Saturday evening, hearty and delicious, has allowed everyone to mingle in friendship, apart from the heat of competition. Unfortunately (and also our friend Istvan had the decency to apologize the first), some major deficiencies are to be deplored on Friday and Saturday, mainly:
Lack of signs in town: race site was too difficult to find out;
Recognition impossible on Friday morning because the track was not traced;
Lack of organization to move athletes to downtown for the opening ceremony ;
Timing Not Met;
Too much confusion in the timing; Moreover, the ECF apologizes to its members for these failures.
Fortunately, Sunday was better. The festival finished in the apotheosis of the podium ceremony. Far from me, the idea of overwhelming the organizers who have given substantive work in this event, but everyone has to work in the future with the "lessons learned" to avoid doing the same errors. It was my duty to let you know. In conclusion, I can say that we still retain fond memories of this 2009 edition. No congratulations to the finish of the overall organization but surely thanks to all the Hungarian players for their dedication and hard work. And .. appointments in Belgium (Baraque de Fraiture - Vielsalm) the 8, 9 and 10 of October 2010. Attention now, no more mistakes! Oh, I forgot ... My thanks and congratulations also go to Miroslaw Piecko which has so far led the team of the Technical Committee, and solved all the problems.
